Hey there!
I am Eliana
I’ve had a passion for photography my whole life. Getting my first camera when I was seven, it went with me everywhere! I enjoyed watching people through my lens and then capturing those beautiful, unexpected moments that, with the click of a button, would last a lifetime. Well…not much has changed—I still love to do that!
I have a B.A. in Photography from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, where I learned the fundamentals of large-format film photography and the art of light manipulation. Shooting digitally now, I still apply those same basics—shooting in manual, and giving myself complete control of the camera.
My husband and I have been married since 2010 and we have two incredible boys. As wonderful as they are though, I cannot—for the life of me—get them to sit still for a photograph! They squirm and make goofy faces, and give their mom quite the challenge. It is perhaps because of them that I am so patient when it comes to photographing children. I know that most kids don't come to a photoshoot ready to pose, or look picture-perfect for as long as it takes. I make it fun, and, while they act natural, I wait to capture those beautiful, unexpected moments.
Watching families grow is the best part of what I do. I especially love photographing families as they expand—from first-time expecting parents, to parents welcoming multiple children years down the line.
